Max & Veronica in L’Eco di Bergamo: “We Sing Old Stories for These Modern Times”

We are happy to share the interview published in L’Eco di Bergamo on Saturday, April 25, 2026, written by Ugo Bacci on the occasion of our concert at Druso in Ranica, near Bergamo.

In the article, we talk about our musical journey, our connection with rural blues, folk music and the American repertoire of the early decades of the 20th century, as well as the deeper meaning these songs still carry today. Songs born almost a century ago, yet still able to speak to the present with irony, strength, poetry and freedom.

The title of the interview — “We Sing Old Stories for These Modern Times” — perfectly sums up what we try to bring to the stage: a journey through forgotten stories, eccentric characters, infectious rhythms and deep roots, always with an eye and an ear turned toward today’s audience.

A big thank you to Ugo Bacci and L’Eco di Bergamo for the space and attention dedicated to our work.

See you on stage!

Max & Veronica
